My Students

The school that I teach at is a Title I school, which means we have a high poverty rate. I have 19 students in my 2nd-grade classroom. Each student is unique and has personality traits that make them individuals. They are extremely sweet, respectful students, who soak up information like sponges. We are a team that works together to help one another be as successful as possible in our learning.

It is my number one goal to make my students feel like we are a family.

Our classroom is a safe place to come and learn without limitations. I want every single student to know they are loved by me and that I want the very best for each of them. I believe one hundred percent when my students know that they are accepted and loved no matter what, that their learning soars!

My Project

My students work independently while I work in small groups with students. One way they work independently is listening to reading and answering questions about stories on computers, Chromebooks and iPads. Students also work on math fact fluency on different technology resources. Having an iPad mini would add to our "listening to reading" work station as well as our independent math practice time.

In our classroom students can use an iPad mini to work on math and reading during their independent work time.

Learning to navigate and use different types of technology is incredibly beneficial for students and we would love to add another tool in our classroom.
