Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students range from kinder through 4th grade. They come to me in small groups for higher level, high energy, fast paced, student centered, project based learning.

They are strong minded, high energetic children that come to a pull out class for rigorous learning activities.

Despite their backgrounds and struggles in everyday life, I try to provide a safe and nurturing environment for them while they are with me. While it is a pull out class, teachers also send these students to me when the children have spare time for further engagement.

My Project

These iPads will help the students to become more engaged and learn how to research with up to date technology that is needed. They will be excited to utilize this new tool in order to explore and enrich their GT experience. These students are always the "first ones finished." iPads will enable them to experience research on up to date tools versus the dinosaurs that sometimes work. When the students are intensely researching or using an education application with their peers they will be highly motivated to stay with the programs and spread the word that being a nerd is cool!
