This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My classroom is a technology-rich learning space. Students have the ability to work at their own pace and on several different projects. From reading and singing on a tablet to learning to code, students are always working on improving their understanding. The class is always busy with an exciting buz of learning.

My goal this year is to incorporate engineering into the classroom.

I want students asking questions to solve problems. Imagining new solutions to the problems that we encounter. Planning and creating projects that will solve these problems.

I hope for a classroom full of students that are not afraid to fail and get back up and try again.

My Project

Many of the apps that we use in the classroom are no longer working because they use a newer version of IOS. For instance, we have Sphero robots in the classroom but they need IOS 10 or higher. Our iPad is using IOS 9.

Technology is leaving our class in the dust and it is time to upgrade.

The students in the classroom get very frustrated and lose interest in many programs that do not connect or work properly. We need an iPad that connects to the robot or opens the apps quickly so we can learn to code. Please help us join the 21st century!
