My Students

My students are excited to come to school each day. They have so much energy and a strong desire to learn and grow. I love making learning fun for them through hands-on learning activities. My students are six and seven and they are learning how to read, write, add and subtract. Many of my students have come into first grade well below grade level. They have a strong desire to learn.

My students are our future.

They have a wide range of academic, social, and emotional needs. I want to ensure that they become productive citizens someday. I want to provide them with appropriate materials to help them become readers, writers, and mathematicians.

My Project

My first graders are active learners. They enjoy using technology and would benefit greatly from an iPad and Osmo Genius Kit. The Osmo Genius Kit and iPad combine together to make an interactive learning station in the classroom. The students use physical objects to solve math problems, complete word work activities, and drawings. My students would use the iPad and Osmo during reading and math rotations while I work with small groups. They would be able to review reading and math skills while working collaboratively with a partner.

My students love to learn and this will give them a great opportunity to use technology and enhance their reading and math skills.
