This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My English Language Learners (ENL) would greatly benefit from the use of a pencil sharpener.

My students come from a low socio- economic backgrounds.

Many times they do not have someone to sit with them in the evening to perfect their skills. Many of our parents are recent immigrants and are working multiple jobs, so they depend on the school and the school staff to provide all academic interventions and materials.

In my classroom we study reading and writing and all my students are English language learners!

Life is very challenging for them and their families due to language limitations and poverty!

Our school operates on a very limited budget and funding is very scarce!

All my students deserve to have beautiful materials!

They are eager to learn new concepts and my class will greatly benefit from any materials they are given.

My Project

An iPad will allow my students to have access to technology. It will help them develop their reading skills and fluency.

Using an iPad will give my students the opportunity to work independently at their own level.

An iPad will help my students become independent learners working at their own level while doing activities. This iPad will offer my students support for struggling learners, as well as some students who need to be really challenged.

This iPad will make such a difference in the lives of my students because it will give them freedom to excel at their own pace!
