My Students

I have twenty-five amazing first graders who are energetic, enthusiastic, motivated, and special. My students like to move, twist, stand, sit, and, most importantly, learn. My students are in an urban community, and many students receive free or reduced-price lunch. Our classroom furniture is outdated, and I am looking to transform my everyday classroom into a kinesthetic learning environment to best meet the needs of all of my students. The students in my classroom range from regular education to ESL to special education. My high expectations and drive bring me to this project for my students.

My Project

With technology and a lot of students, sometimes we need to update, upgrade, replace, and add more to our first grade classroom. At this time, we have lots of students and we like to use the iPads for math, reading books, and reading programs. We need another iPad to help us make this possible for the amount of students in our classroom.

A new iPad will add to our technology stations, give more students a chance to use the technology and help offer intervention and enrichment for students who aren't working with the teacher at small group instruction time.

Students will be able to use technology to support them prior to school starting, during free choice station time, when they complete assignments etc.

Teachers are able to monitor progress with students who are working on the iPads throughout the day, assign different lessons and activities, and support students on difficult topics.
