iPad in Hand for Real Time Feedback

Help me give my students an iPad to allow me to provide feedback on the move as I monitor students individually and in their small groups around our classroom.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Providing one on one feedback is essential for student growth. Having an iPad in my hand will allow me to walk around the room and monitor student learning in real time. As my students are working through the writing process, I will be able to move from student to student or group to group and give feedback as I maintain accurate records of student progress.

The use of an iPad and Apple Pencil as I navigate the classroom will allow me to record anecdotal notes directly on the Google Documents the students are working on for quick feedback that can then be saved as a PDF and stored for later use by my students.

Instead of being tied to the computer at the teacher desk in the front of the classroom typing comments and suggestions, this technology will allow me to be more productive and make better use of instructional class time. This will impact my students my allowing them to have more timely, accurate, and easily accessible feedback to improve their writing.
