This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have a class of 19 sweet students. Most, if not all, come from low income families. This is their first year at school. This is a diverse and mixed ability group of students. Some have speech difficulties and other need learning support.

My students learn at a different pace and have different special needs.

I try my best every day to support their learning and give every child the education they deserve. I love my class and how much they enjoy learning.

My Project

My class loves using technology during centers. Most of my students don't have access to use technology at home and I think it is a disadvantage for them. Therefore, I think that having the opportunity to use an iPad in class will help them develop technology skills as well as improve in reading and math.

There are some programs that our district recommends to use to support learning such as ABC Mouse or Reading Magic.

However, we only have two old tablets in my class and it makes this task very difficult. These tablets are very slow and have many technological issues so their learning time is reduced.
