My Project
Who has the best students in the world? Oh that is an easy question to answer........Me! I am the school librarian for a small, rural elementary school in southern Virginia and my students love to learn! They also love coming to the library where we have so much fun reading great books, doing research that they choose topics to explore, and also learning about different genres of texts.
Our library is a fun, engaging environment in our school where we also learn to use technology and this project would give the students a chance to use an iPad in correlation with some coding robots we have, as well as access to some learning apps that support our state-mandated literacy standards!
We love using our Chromebooks in the library, but we don't currently have any iPads which are great technology tools that students need to be exposed to. This project would give them that exposure and let them explore how to use an iPad effectively as a learning tool!
I hope we can get this fun learning project fully funded so I can see the excitement in my students' faces when I pull out an iPad for them to use! They need to see that technology can be exciting and engaging and applicable to literacy and fun in the library learning process!
