My Students

We want to update our classroom's old technology! Using an iPad mini in our listen to reading center will bring them up to date with 21st century learning.

We are an IB world magnet school.

Our student population is very diverse. Many of our students are from Haiti and Latin America. We are a Title One school with 75% of our students qualifying for free and reduced price lunch. Many students do not have computers at home, and school is their only exposure to technology.

My Project

Using an iPad Mini with a protective case will allow students to practice reading and math using fun and engaging applications. Using the iPad for research will be key for our class presentations and projects. Using apps such as Storia and Nook Kids, students will practice reading books that are just their level.

Providing my students an iPad mini and protective case will give them an opportunity to learn with 21st century technology.

With so many students having no technology in their homes, this project is an amazing opportunity for our classroom.
