it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My seventh and eighth grade science classes are comprised of approximately 160 fabulous, hard-working students, many of whom come from very diverse cultures and backgrounds. I teach a wide range of students from the magnet program, ESE students, as well as advanced and gifted classes. Students are always curious about Science!
Students in my class have the passion to learn and investigate always.
They are motivated and full of wonder about the world we live in and the problems they will have to solve in the near future, and even the problems today. They are really big problem solvers with big minds!
Help me create the most engaging/inquiry science classroom these students have ever encountered. This is a great opportunity to show them another way that learning can be fun, technology is always their #1!
My Project
The iPad for my students will be used during small group instructions, classroom work stations and other times during our science periods. This can be used for students to create individual projects during extra class time.
In many cases, after teaching a whole group lesson, there are students who quickly understand the concept, move on and are ready for more information.
On the other hand, there are the students who need extra information with the skill being taught. This iPad will allow them a way to look up the proper information and be able to get more information, as well as use different resources for extra practice.
