My Students
My students are 21st-century learners who LOVE technology. They love to learn and are excited to try new things. As we have been working toward our goal of becoming a STEAM school, I have been excited about introducing coding and robotics to them. I am fortunate to work with all students from kindergarten through 6th grade and love sharing new technology with them throughout their time in elementary school. These students are curious, hands on learners, who are eager to learn more about technology and robotics.
My Project
Science and technology are extremely popular with students today; they are also a pathway to career opportunities in the future. Engaging in technology activities when young can help to stimulate interest in those fields, develop mastery of necessary technologies, and energize the classroom.
The collaborative nature of robotics in the classroom helps students develop key real-world STEM skills such as teamwork, problem solving, communication, cooperation, and generating creativity.
Coding in the classroom builds mastery in sequencing skills, counting, problem solving, logical thinking, cause and effect, and critical thinking.
By providing us with this additional technology, students will learn the value of teamwork and collaboration as they bring our robotics to life in our new STEAM lab!
