This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Technology! Students are encouraged to embrace technology in the schools and my students would like to be able to do so in the speech room.

My students are kindergarten through second grade students attending a primary elementary school in a low income area.

All of my students have a speech and/or language delay, for which they attend speech therapy. These kids are hardworking and thrive on the ability to use technology in their learning, as they are not often exposed to new technologies at home.

My Project

My kindergarten through second grade students thrive on the use of technology in the learning process, but unfortunately, my speech room does not afford the ability to have a SMART Board or other technology found in a typical classroom. My students regularly request to use the computer, but the programs do not afford the same speech and language learning opportunities that an iPad will, with the hundreds of speech/language and educational apps available.

Your donations to support this project will significantly impact my students, increasing their speech and language skills, while also keeping them motivated to learn.

It is not always fun to have to leave your classroom for extra work in an area of difficulty. Help me to make speech/language therapy more enjoyable for my students, as they improve their speech and language skills. Thank you for your support!
