My Project

This is my 2nd year teaching and I work in a high school with students that are severely disabled. They come from low income households and are not able to get the proper supplies needed for school. My students are very eager to learn and are all so unique. My class consists of 12 students who are diagnosed as intellectually disabled. My students are very eager learners and are very motivated by technology, especially iPads. We currently need another class iPad for our students to use in the classroom when completing activities and projects. The iPad will be used to research how climate changes and environmental changes affect our planet. Our STEAM project is based on environmental and climate changes, so by providing us with this iPad we will be able to work more efficiently as a class. My student also love to use the iPad during free time, as a reward for goo behavior, and also for sensory needs. We will be very grateful to anyone who can donate and help us obtain this iPad we desperately need to continue learning through technology about our environment.
