This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach in a 6th-grade self-contained classroom in which each student has an IEP and struggles with some type of learning disability. My students are very tactile and also benefit from technological aids and assistance. They are very distractible, however when they are involved and focused on an activity or lesson plan they exhibit great enthusiasm.

My students all learn in very different ways and present a number of challenges socially and emotionally as well as academically.

I teach English Language Arts as well as Social Studies.

My Project

In our changing school system, things need to be paperless now. In order for this to happen, up to date and accurate technology is a must for every school classroom.

An iPad will help to create and monitor in class assessments for my students throughout the school day.

By having this small device accessible throughout the school day, I will be able to monitor progress, input grades and even upload my screen to the board using apple TV for when my students need help with a task! Students will benefit from this small device.
