iPad for Music

My students need iPads for the Vocal music classroom to explore Music Theory and other helpful Music apps. I will also use an iPad for the Keyboarding classroom to monitor and manage the student activity.

My Students

My students are unique in that they attend a Middle School for Performing Arts. This is a free charter school where they can explore the Arts in a concentrated setting. Our students are in grades 5 through 8 and love to perform and create!

My students love music and being creative; they are always surprising me with the things they can do.

They are always willing and eager to learn new things!

Our school has students from over 20 different school districts, so we are comprised of a wide variety of students from many various counties. They come together from all over to create beautiful works of all kinds of art.

My Project

In the Keyboarding classroom, the iPad can manage and monitor the student usage of the keyboards. This will allow for better grading and quick assessments of student progress. Within the Keyboarding classroom, the teacher can use the iPad to listen to the student keyboards and regulate classroom activity.

Using an iPad in the Vocal and Keyboarding classrooms will highly benefit the students; they will be able to use apps like Garageband and other Music Theory Apps to enhance the classroom material.

The iPad will also allow students to individually practice the classroom material and the teacher to create practice material.
