Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This year, my school provided me with a Promethean ActivPanel whiteboard for my classroom and it has been amazing. Besides having more whiteboard space for my notes and lessons, I have also been able to connect my laptop to share my PowerPoint presentations.
Although it is nice having this new technology, I feel restricted to one spot.
Having an iPad can help me become more mobile in my classroom. I will be free to walk around the classroom to check on students. It would make me more accessible to my students when they need one-on-one help while still being able to project the lesson or example on the board. It would also be a huge help transitioning between my PowerPoints to my notes so I can provide my students with more examples. Having an iPad will give me access to the board while leaving the board available for my students to use. Technology can be very beneficial to students, thus, having this iPad will help me engage and collaborate with my students.
