My Students

Our Life Fitness classes are extremely active, but also involve a lot of academic content. You will find our class in the gym, outside, and very often in a classroom or computer lab as well.

My students are in the 9-12 grades and are very interested in technology (as most kids their age are).

They are very active and extremely bright. Most of my students have set goals for their future and are working hard to head down the path to achieve them.

My Project

The iPad will be used in many ways to supplement our Life Fitness curriculum. Students will be introduced to a wide variety of apps for fitness purposes. They will be able to create and perform their own personal workouts that can be projected onto our large screen for the entire class to participate in. Students will be able to video and analyze each other's sports movements with the "Coaches Eye" app. They will be able to use Google Forms to perform peer assessments. With access to the Apple App Store, there will be never ending resources to add to our class iPad.

The addition of the iPad to our classroom will finally allow us to enter into the modern world of technology!

Having a mobile device will allow us access to content wherever we are on campus. This access will transform the way I teach as well as the way my students are able to learn!
