Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The kids at our school are kindergarten through fifth-grade students, and most of these students are English Language Learners. All of our students are enthusiastic learners who, come to school with a thirst for knowledge and the urge to try and experience new things every day. I have 23 kindergarten students. My students are in need of updated technology in the classroom to allow their knowledge to flourish. My students are looking forward to this new technology for the classroom.
My Project
Unfortunately my iPad is almost 7 years old and dies even at 80% charged. I use my iPad for literacy assessments. It is awesome for instructional videos and math programs. The students also use it to access our intervention program, Amplify Reading. They have access to all the technology in the class. All hands on deck. Sadly we only get the use of iPads one day a week and it is not enough to prepare these students. With 2 desktops the students can use the programs at least two times a week.
