This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My school is in a low-income neighborhood. The majority of my students are on free or reduced price lunch and their parents have just enough to provide for their students. The students are energetic to learn and thrive in a classroom that is full of stimulating things to keep them focused on their educations. The students are eager to gain knowledge to become better readers and writers, and we want them to become college and career ready. I hope that you will help support our students in this journey!

My Project

I am working with my 3rd graders to become positive contributers to our digital community. I have shown them how technology can be used for educational purposes and the students are starting to see technology beyond video likes.

The students need an iPad for our classroom to be able to enhance their learning with technology.

From classroom assignments to adding work to a digital portfolio, an iPad for our classroom is a great way to add to their 21st century skills. The iPad allows them to store and share their work without it having to be turned in and used by another class which could clog the memory. They will also get access to various educational tools to use to practice various skills. I hope that you will help to grow them into 2018 techies by contributing to this project!
