My Students
Have you ever been frustrated when unable to complete a task? My loving students face obstacles daily with everyday tasks, such as talking, walking, holding a pencil, writing and reading. Yet they continue to try and overcome hurdles. An IPAD would facilitate every day tasks we take for granted
My students are 5th-8th grade children with severe-moderate cognitive disabilities.
Despite the obstacles they were born with, these students put forth 100% effort with huge smiles. They bring joy to every person they encounter. They are in a Chicago Public School and are very much excepted by their general education peers. They like to communicate and interact with others. They are most loving children who deserve the best.
My Project
Having an IPAD in the classroom will help students with disabilities in many ways. It will aid in the development of fine motor skills, speech, attention span, social skills, life skills, reading skills, and mathematics. An IPAD will facilitate language and increase the student's interaction with society. It will also offer individualized instruction for each student. There are many different supports that will cater to students individual needs. The students also love bright colors and immediate feedback which they will receive when using an IPAD.
As stated before, my students were born with severe disabilities but continue to have the most awesome outlook on life.
They deserve any tool that will help improve the quality of their education . An Ipad is an appropriate tool that will cater to each students' individual needs while having fun!
