I teach in a diverse urban school district and many of my students require a little extra motivation in the classroom. With this product, my students will be engaged and excited to learn. My students have grown up with a new world of technology all around them, and many of them have not been able to experience it at home.
My Project
This iPad will change the way we work in my room! We would be able to hook it up to a projector and utilize the THOUSANDS of applications that help aid students in reading, grammar, and writing. Students in my remedial classes will find that learning reading strategies is not "boring" but rather will love to attempt them on an interactive iPad. They won't realize how much they are learning - it will seem like playing to them and they will love it! I know that when I need to work one-on-one with a student, the iPad will help my students engage in learning and experience reading, grammar, and writing in a whole new way by helping us purchase an iPad 2 for our classroom!
