My Students

I teach 9th graders Algebra and 10th graders Geometry, and each class provides different challenges, but they all never fail to keep me on my toes. Many of my students participate in extracurricular activities and also do things to further support the community.

My students are understanding, hard-working, and diverse, not only culturally but also learning needs.

They all strive to be their best when they don't have things to distract them. Many of them are first-generation Americans and are trying to create a foundation for their families.

My Project

With this new iPad, I will have an easier method to present content to students with different apps that allow me to edit documents and present student work with the Apple Pencil. With my current classroom setup, I am currently in a fixed position in the classroom when I want to teach, but with an iPad, I can move freely throughout the class and be able to create a more free-flowing environment for learning.

These materials can help provide different methods of learning that emphasize the math processes and not just the solution.

I can use this iPad to present any material on it and allow students to see other students' work through pictures. I can even have the students work on the iPad and have them be teachers of the classroom for a moment. Furthermore, I can even record some lectures/explanations on the iPad and upload for students to reference in the future. This iPad will help me move towards teaching in the 21st century.
