Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students love to learn and are very social. Most of my students are pre-verbal which means that they need other ways to communicate their wants, needs, and ideas.
Having access to an iPad with communication apps, will help my students find their voice.
Being pre-verbal impacts my students ability to interact with their peers as children do not always understand social cues. I want my preschoolers to feel that they are being heard and that their needs are being met. The iPad will also become a way to introduce my students to technology as they learn how to use technology through navigating learning websites such as Starfall.
