My Students

My students have their own unique learning styles. The resources, manipulatives, and supplementary aids that are needed for my students are what assists them to thrive in the general education classroom at their own speed and time.

Risk takers, brave, and accepting of the academic challenges that they face each day, this who I get to teach.

Each and every day we are on an adventure, seeking and using strategies that work for their learning needs. I am beyond thrilled to work with such a diverse group of students each and every day.

My Project

Information at your fingertips, books at your fingertips, how do you spell that word?—at your finger tips. Academic Apps to reinforce decoding skills—at YOUR fingertips. The use of one iPad in the classroom is endless for a special education teacher and their students with special needs.

Struggling readers, spellers, math facts can be an awesome resource to build skills sets and close the academic gap.

In addition to the tons of different strategies that can be used, the use of an iPad will assist in collecting data and identifying the area of need and focus to better support my students in the general education classroom.
