This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Every day, my class runs independent learning centers that allow me to spend time with different leveled groups and focus on their needs. During this time, students work on independent tasks to further their learning. An iPad and an Osmo kit would allow an extra learning station for students to enhance their studies.
An iPad and an Osmo would be a great addition to the classroom for the many academic benefits it provides to students.
The Osmo is a great tool for math, reading, and spelling. As the students progress through each of the programs, the Osmo records their progress, allowing students to work at their level.
Students are incredibly engaged when they participate in their learning on the Osmo. The Osmo provides interactive learning through touch and movement alongside engaging, kid-friendly graphics.
The iPad would allow for the students to use Osmo. The iPad is the device that would run the Osmo programs and allow for students to be engaged with their learning. Although the main use of the iPad would be for Osmo, the iPad would not just be used for Osmo. The iPad would allow a student to use it for a multitude of purposes such as interactive math lessons or recording themselves reading for me to hear at a later point as well.
Both the iPad and the Osmo are great tools for my students in the classroom to use as they further and enhance their learning!
