My students need an Otterbox and an iPad with an Osmo gaming system so that they can apply creative and critical thinking skills to solve problems in a fun and hands-on manner.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I want to arm my students with technological resources so that I can maximize their education and learning so that they become great problem solvers not only in school, but in life!
My classroom is composed of diverse learners.
My students are very enthusiastic about school and have a great desire to learn. I use many different approaches to help them understand content on a deeper level. All students have strengths and weaknesses and learn in different ways. Having new technology devices at their fingertips will immediately spark their curiosity and they will become more engaged in the lessons and activities being taught. Learning while having fun is the best learning!
My Project
I am requesting an iPad for my students' use so that it can be utilized to practice math facts using appropriate apps and programs. When used with the iPad the Osmo gaming system will allow my students to practice critical thinking skills while trying to solve mathematical puzzles and learn and apply important math vocabulary. These portable pieces of technology have the power to be used many times throughout the day. These devices will help the students learn to be technology literate in a technology-centered world.
My students attend a wonderful school, but the amount of access to technology in the classroom is limited.
There are so many great resources that an iPad, along with the Osmo gaming system, can provide for these students that they may not get at home. We live in a time where information is available with the touch of a button and my amazing students deserve the opportunity to explore and learn with technology.
