Some of my students have the most difficult home and financial situations. However, my students are always ready to learn and grow when they come to school. I am so proud to know these students and be a part of this school community.
I have had many people tell me that our students are the most polite, kind, well behaved, and that one can really tell when a student comes from our school.
We are really lucky to have students who are from families who have also attended here. Our families are very supportive of our faculty and staff. The students are some of the most intelligent young people I have ever met.
My Project
The iPad and Apple Pencil will help my students have an opportunity to be exposed to other types of technology. There a various apps available on the iPad that are not available on other devices. I hope to be able to enhance learning, create better STEM lessons and experiences, and be able to push those students who are already in enrichment study groups within my classroom. I hope to have applications such as Minecraft Education, Pages, and different types of graphic design and illustration apps to spark interest in more creative or artistic students. In collaboration with the language arts teacher, I hope to help students illustrate stories and essays as well.
