My Students

Technology is constantly changing, and limited access to updated technology is a very real issue for my students, who, due to budget cuts, learn only on outdated computers or none at all.

My kindergarteners are a very curious bunch with diverse backgrounds and learning needs.

Most of them are just starting to read and write. With modern technology I can help them reach their individual goals. My kids very much enjoy their time with the tablets, they look forward to it every week. With 2 more tablets and an iPad I can encourage that curiosity for each child in my class and keep learning fun.

My Project

The number of students in kindergarten has gone up. With two more tablets and 3 sets of headphones I can accommodate each child with an equal learning opportunity. The tablets help make reading, writing and math fun and playful. The headphones allow each child to focus and learn individually without being distracted. The iPad mini and the VGA adapter would allow me to project materials and educational movies on to a projection screen and allow me to take advantage of the many apps available for kindergarten. It will introduce my kindergartners to up to date technology and the foam protective case will keep the iPad safe. The surge protector will keep our devises safe and allow me to charge the tablets and the iPad all at once. The number of outlets in my classroom is very limited and this way I can charge everything overnight, ready to be used by the students when school day begins.

Every child in my class will benefit in so many ways from the addition of two more tablets with head phones, iPad with protective case, VGA adapter and 2 surge protects to our classroom.

Most importantly, these tablets and the iPad with the VGA adapter will help keep the devices safe and encourage my student's natural curiosity, and remind them just how much fun learning can be.
