Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students have routines in my class that help them have normality and stability while having a safe environment to learn math.
My students are low-income, underprivileged, urban city children who are bright and have been accepted into a Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) school.
My school is filled with 98% minorities, mainly Hispanic and African American children.
My Project
I am requesting wireless keyboards, protective cases and stylus pens for my students to use with our class iPads. My students will use iPad Mini accessories to help protect the class iPads, that were also funded through Donors Choose, which they use in interactive lessons. They will be able to create videos and play math games on the iPad Minis. Using technology on a daily basis is a must in my classroom but with these items, students will be able to protect their technology in the class.
Mathematics is a subject that every student needs to experience in a way that will get them to enjoy learning about it and with technology this will help tremendously.
Using technology will better prepare them for jobs that have not even been thought of.
