My Students

My students come to school and are excited to be there--making sure to greet you with a big smile on their faces. It's contagious to say the least. No matter what battle they may be facing outside of school, they come ready and eager to learn each and everyday. My students have motivated me to become the best version of myself, for them, because they deserve the world and so much more. My kids want to learn, they are curious and driven to not only become more educated students, but more educated people. We instill in our students that college is not impossible, it is 100% POSSIBLE with hard-work and dedication. They are capable just as anyone else is capable. Period. My students give me a reason to wake up every single morning and their passion for learning drives my passion for learning. Although I am the teacher, I learn more from my students than anyone could imagine. If that doesn't tell you who they are, I'm not sure what does. My students are incredible, my students are brave, unique, hardworking, loving, caring, headstrong, & I will do whatever I can to make sure I give my students the best.

My Project

In my classroom, whole group areas, and cozy inviting areas are so important. Carpet time in my classroom allows the whole class to be able to sit as ONE comfortably where we gather, learn, share, and grow as a class! In my classroom, "carpet area" is a necessity, because we will meet here multiple times in the day. I love this idea because it creates a classroom community and family. Also, a reading nook is vital in my classroom, because I want students to WANT to sit and read and feel welcomed in a cozy reading nook. Inviting spaces make children so happy and comfortable and so much more eager to learn.

I want to inspire learning by giving students a place where they want to learn and they feel comfortable!

These two things in my classroom will give all of my students just that: somewhere where we can be together as one classroom family, learning and growing!
