My Project

COVID-19 has brought many challenges to my classroom. Students have struggled to transition back to a classroom setting with their peers. Increased reinforcement through items that are of interest to students, such as stickers and food items, are a beneficial way to help motivate students to engage in their learning. Sensory seeking items, such as pop-its, fidget cubes/items, and sensory desk strips can help support students to remain on-task and decrease disruptive behaviors. Additionally, items such as headphones are beneficial to promoted student learning when using technology, which has increased since COVID-19. The speaker will help when presenting videos or interactive online activities. Finally, supplies to help clean the classroom will promote a more clean and inviting space for students. Having a clean classroom will help support students to feel comfortable and safe in their learning environment.
