My students are amazing. My students come from many different cultural and economical backgrounds. Over 50% of the students receive free or reduced-rate lunches.
We have a variety of different learning styles to cater to.
Many of our students are English Language Learners and have communication barriers to overcome. We have a high percentage of special needs students that need extra help. Many of our students have difficult challenges that they face every day, but they still have the desire to learn and do their best.
My Project
Students usually have the idea that all radiation is bad or that it gives them superpowers. But little do they know that some radiation is actually good and very useful. Students are amazing when they learn that even their phones utilize some type of radiation. Help give my students the ability to learn more about the electromagnetic spectrum and energy. The thermal camera will give my students the ability to see hot infrared light can be used to see heat and energy of the object around them.
Help my visualize how light, heat, and energy can be transferred between different object.
These material will make a big difference in allowing them to conduct more of their own investigation about studying electromagnetic radiation.
Half of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
