This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My second graders are all into reading books. They are also getting very involved with learning all about financial literacy. We have recently acquired some books about money, and my students love them!
For this reason, I am requesting several other books that discuss financial literacy, a storage cabinet to store supplies, and some needed math materials to help with math skills.
The new math reading books will help my students understand the concepts of saving, earning, and spending money wisely. The modern storage cabinet will be a fun and perfect place to store our math materials bins when they are not being used. Finally, the math materials are ones that we currently don't own, so having access to these resources will allow my students a hands-on learning approach about math concepts.
