Intuitive Technology with Tablets for ESL Students
My students need 2 tablets with protective cases to learn to use intuitive technology and as an aid in all academic subjects and English Language acquisition.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Internet is everywhere!... or at least that is what we would like to think. In my classroom only 9 out of 16 students have computers or tablets at home with internet access. Wouldn't it be great to have access to tablets every day?
Our class is a 1st grade bilingual Spanish and English class attending a Title I school.
More than 90 % of the students receive free or reduced lunch because of economic difficulties. At our school we only have access to 20 tablets for 600 students. The opportunites to use those tablets are very rare. My class is filled with enthusiastic learners and they get very excited at the few opportunities we get using any kind of technology devices.
My Project
With a couple of tablets in our classroom we can have regular use of modern technologies to improve Math skills such as adding, subtracting identifying money etc. They will also improve students' reading with the use of applications designed to improve students fluency and decoding. Students will also learn how to use tablets which many of them do not have access to at all. Students will use the tablets to communicate their group work since they will be able to take video and photos to record how they solve problems, and make observations in the different subjects.
Make our wish come true!
Give my class the opportunity to use tablets in the classroom instead of just looking at them everywhere. Give my class multiple opportunities to use them. School is were we can even out the massive economic differences in accessing technology and that is why it so important for us to have a couple of tablets in our classroom that we could use every day.
