This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Students in my school and my classroom excel when they are able to experience, feel and physically manipulate the subject of their learning. Laboratory assignments, workshops, and classes such as auto tech and home improvement are the ways our students retain the most information.
Robotics class is a new way we are introducing technology, coding, and skill building to our students!
We are offering this course as an elective for students grades 9-12 who may have an interest in coding, robots, or simply building with math and science.
My Project
Students who enroll in our new robotics class will be able to build, code, and watch their creations come to life with the help of the Lego Mindstorms kits. These kits are a wonderful way to incorporate familiar building platforms with new and exciting technology!
I can't wait to see how excited the students will be when their creations come to life for the first time!
The movable parts, gears, wheels, etc. all being programmed by a code the students create will give them a sense of satisfaction and help pique their interest in the STEM fields.
