Introduction to Architecture and Interior Design

Help me give my students materials they can use in architectural drawings and model projects throughout this next year in our school's drafting class.

My Project

Hello, in the last couple of years in my drafting classes I have noticed an strong interest in activities we do that involves architecture and design especially in hands on projects that require them to use a wide range of skills both academic and creative in nature. I'm excited to see enthusiasm in such an interesting and broad subject area that can benefit a large number of kids and even the start of a career for some. Drawing materials like pencils, templates, brushes, tape, graph paper and markers will be used by students to create detailed sketches of an actual structure that they design based on what they learn in class. Foam board and glue will be the materials that students use to create models, mood boards and displays of their designs to enter in a statewide student competition in May of 2026. In the past I've gotten these items whenever they were needed but due to more student involvement, it is necessary for me to plan a list before we begin.

I'm really hoping that by having these materials, we can get the year started off with projects right away and keep them going throughout the year.
