This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

My middle school students love to problem solve. They come to technology class ready to be challenged. We have dabbled in everything from typing to coding. I want to expand our coding skills into coding robots.

The progression of this lesson is to begin with the understanding of how robots work and then problem solve how to assemble them properly; enabling them to function correctly.

Then as the units progress, students will tie their coding skills into lessons that involve programing robots to complete basic commands.

Many of the lessons up to this point have provided an online look into the world of coding and robotics. However, I would love to bring these virtual experiences to reality and add an element of hands on learning to the classroom.
