My Students

The diversity on our campus has only served to strengthen our students as they learn from many different viewpoints and perspectives. Together, they bring their fresh ideas and enthusiasm into the classroom with them! Our talented students come from many cultures, backgrounds, and socio-economic levels.

We are a Title 1 school in the heart of Texas, a small neighborhood community that incorporates every new person and makes them part of the family.

This tight-knit group has been the reason why our students and school have been so successful.

My Project

This is an opportunity for our elementary fifth grade students to enjoy a unique experience in natural surroundings. The students will spend two days attending classes that are grounded in natural science and use Texas Essential Knowledge objectives as a guide to instruction. In addition they will take classes that include personal growth opportunities through group team-building, a high ropes course and an overnight camping stay few urban students have the opportunity to experience.

Students who have attended the camp in the past have returned with a universal respect for all living things, a leap in self-confidence, experiential knowledge of science concepts and better intrapersonal skills used during group work.
