My students are 25 1st grade students who are motivated, energetic and eager to learn and explore each day. They also love to share their ideas and thoughts through conversations and activities in the classroom and at home. The students in my class attend a title 1 school in a low economic area where they are in need of basic supplies and educational materials to help support their learning in a loving environment.
When my students are learning at home remotely or in the classroom, they deserve supplies to help provide the best learning environment they can have to progress.
It is during this time they need all the support and we are grateful for supporters like you to help them flourish their knowledge for learning with materials and manipulatives.
My Project
The materials in this project will help provide intervention from the start to build my students reading and writing. It can be seen through basic strategies of sight words, language skills, and writing prompts that can all be used through differentiated instruction based on students individual needs.
The materials can also be used to create a rich learning environment with visuals that can reinforce learning.
My students have been through a lot this past year with interrupted instruction going back and forth from in person to remote and vice versa. They need all the additional support to help make this a successful year and to close the learning gap that has widen from unforthcoming circumstances.
