My Project
My students are in 7th and 8th grade and they are energetic and ready to make their mark on the world! As they are preparing for their high school careers, we are teaching them about different aspects of the world specifically appreciating themselves and others. This year we want to motivate our students to celebrate international Women's Day and share with them the historic actions of women throughout history and how regardless of race, religion, gender, or any other factors there is nothing that can keep them from success. We want the celebration to be like a party so we want to purchase snacks and decorations so that the children will feel motivated to enjoy themselves and participate in our discussions and events without feeling as if they were participating in a class assignment.
