Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

International class is made of wonderful students who come from around the globe who come to the United States to receive an education. Our students work so hard to learn the English language as their second or third language while also teaching us about their culture and knowledge.

Every day, students are learning basic English and scaffolded skills that will be useful through out their educational career to success.

The goal is to have English learning students learn skills and language to participate in class, engage and communicate with their classmates. However our classroom lacks wall space for visuals and a whiteboard.

I am requesting materials which will provide visuals and a space for student work, flex furniture for students who need movement, materials to write, the stamps to make work correcting more fun, snacks for students who need it during the day. For students who are having difficulty learning the new language will be using a translating device to support them while reading, writing, and listening to have flexible learning opportunities.
