My Project

In my class, we have a designated day for independent reading every week. While my students are allowed to bring in their own books to read, I also wish to provide interesting books for those who forget or do not have ones to bring from home.

Students today are more interested in reading books that relate to them.

For this project, I have chosen several books that are relevant to issues that my students deal with, are representative of the cultures in our school, and that I think will be more interesting to the students than some of the ones I currently have on the shelves.
