My Project

I teach in a public Montessori middle school program, and I plan to use this timeline as a Great Lesson at the beginning of our history course. I will tell and engaging tale of the history of the United States, using the timeline to illustrate various points along the way. Afterwards, students will select events from the timeline that they want to know more about. Working with a partner, they will create a lesson for the class based on what they learned.

The purpose of this material is to engage children's curiosity about the United States.

It will serve as an opening project that we will refer back to throughout the year.
