Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Many of my students come from high-need households. They have a wide range of interests and talents. Science class helps them develop their critical thinking skills for the future. I would like for my students to have equal access to resources and this project would help fulfill that for them!
My Project
This project will fully enable students to take interactive notebooks during science class. With COVID, students lost over a year of effective note-taking practice. Using these interactive notebooks will help students have a more in-depth understanding of the science content, and prepare them to be successful note-takers in high school and college. After using Chromebooks for over a year and a half, students are ready to have hands-on learning, where they are not just staring at a screen.
Students will use their notebook during class for learning and to take notes during labs and activities.
