Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach a strategies class with 8 happy, loving and bright students. They love finding new ways to play and love learning new things along the way. We are working hard on our social and emotional learning and finding positive ways to interact with one another. Play is a great way to do so, as it can serve as a tool to encourage my kiddos to socialize with each other and build healthy relationships. Relationships that can continue to foster outside of school. Play is great in that it, promotes development and critical thinking skills that can be applied to other areas such as, math, reading or science. These resources will help my students do just that. With these resources, my students will find new ways to engage in conversation, learn important everyday skills like turn taking, listening and controlling their emotions all while playing with these new and fun toys. They will learn through play about decision making and problem solving. Important skills that they will need in their everyday lives. With these toys and activities my students will be engaged and ready to learn while having fun with their peers.
