My Students

My students are amazing. I know, every teacher says that, but mine really are. They are curious, funny, energetic, and extremely creative. The school is located in a lower socio-economic area and many of my students have no aspirations for college. By igniting their imaginations with chemistry and the wonder of science, I hope to spark their interest in further education.

My Project

Students in my class are required to keep notebooks throughout the year. Unfortunately some can't afford good quality notebooks and around December their notebooks start to fall apart. My goal is to be able to provide all my students with high quality notebooks.

Interactive notebooks have been proven to increase student learning.

These allow students the opportunity to make the learning their own and increase engagement in the content. By providing them these notebooks, I will be not only increasing their learning now, but helping them to be successful in college and their future.
