My Students

I serve approximately 65 students in kindergarten through grade 5. These students are identified with Speech and Language Impairments in the areas of Articulation, Receptive/Expressive Language, Voice, Fluency and Pragmatics. My students achieve optimal learning when provided with visual, verbal and tactile opportunities; however, due to recent closures our services have changed drastically.

Students are now participating in school from their homes via online learning platforms.

The ability to reach our students' individual needs requires out-of-the-box teaching techniques and ideas.

My Project

Distance Learning requires us to get creative, change our routines and try out new things! I am excited to introduce Speech and Language Interactive notebooks to my students. These notebooks will put all of our necessary therapy tools in one place. This will keep us organized, allowing students and parents to easily practice their speech at home.

The notebooks will be individualized and aligned with each student’s speech and language goals.

Each notebook will be divided into areas of need and full of bright and cheery activities and sticker rewards upon completion. The possibilities are endless! The requested supplies will help our project get started and allow my students to continue to maximize their functional communication skills!
