Help me give my students graph ruled composition notebooks, highlighters, glue sticks, and Post-it notes they can use to make their very own interactive notebooks for math.

My Students
I teach eighth-grade students who are in many ways typical middle schoolers: playful, curious, and anxious about the future. Our International Baccalaureate Middle School, is full of young people with varied backgrounds and interests, yet more than half of my students qualify for free or reduced-price lunch.
One of the things I enjoy most about my students is their capacity to care about each other and the world around them.
My students show me every day that they don't care how much I know, until they know how much I care about them. One of my great joys as a teacher is getting to know and care for my students.
My Project
Research shows that students who take notes learn more than students who either don't take notes or take them in a haphazard manner. Especially in the middle school years, note taking should be explicitly taught and promoted. One way to do so is through the use of Interactive notebooks.
Interactive notebooks accelerate student achievement in math and are a proven strategy for promoting good study skills.
Though they take time to implement, with graph ruled composition notebooks, highlighters, glue sticks, and Post-it notes, interactive notebooks quickly become essential tools in helping students review and do a better job of analyzing the math skills they are learning.
More than half of students from low‑income households
