Help me give my students composition notebooks, pencils, glue sticks, and colored copy paper to create interactive notebooks for ELA and Social Studies.
I teach in a small town in a rural area of West Virginia. Our area has widespread poverty, and many of my students don't get to experience things outside of our county. They are excited to learn about and experience new things.
My students are eager, caring, and hardworking individuals.
They want to do their best and strive to meet the expectations set for them. They enjoy hands-on activities, working in small groups, and using technology. I want to offer them the best educational experience possible.
My Project
I would like to have my students create interactive notebooks in our ELA & Social Studies classes. Our Reading textbooks are terribly outdated, and our Social Studies textbooks don’t match our current content standards. I want my students to learn their content, and have fun with it. Interactive notebooks allow for students to take ownership of their learning. They will be able to use these at school or at home.
My students love to be creative, and these interactive notebooks will allow them to show their creative side.
These notebooks will also allow my students to learn and practice organizational skills.
